Yesterday I suggested the cafe I ate at (where I couldn't finish my foccacia) keep the remnants for when I'm a best-selling author, but they declined. Will have to head to the UK instead perhaps!
cheers

I must suggest this to Catherine Braid of the Green Tea House in Moniaive. Over the last week they've had Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand in for a bite, Alan Grant who writes the Batman novels and meeting of the Society of Authors members in SW Scotland.

That's a good idea. The Cornish cafe story got so much publicity. Didn't Joanna Lumley have a place up that way too?

Yes she has a holiday cottage in one of the glens not far from here. Andy Goldsworthy lives in the next village. One of his latest works, 'Striding Arches' has been built in our community woodland.

There you are, then - get Andy Goldsworthy to sculpt something, like a slice of lemon drizzle cake. Or all he has to do is go in and leave a bit behind. Your village could have a much better collection than the one in Devon - it might become a nationwide trend.

It's a great wee village. We even have a Victorian wood fired bakery where everything is done by hand. The baker is a local potter who doubles up as baker Thursday - Sunday.

He does in fact make flour pots or rather containers for storing flour.

Just adding to the list of famous faces I have recently clocked in the Green Tea House, Moniaive.

I went in for lunch last week and bumped into Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre or more precisely Andrew Bryniarski the actor who plays Leatherface.
