It may be forty years since the Swinging Sixties happened in London, but the Beatles are as popular as ever. Paul McCartney is still a rock legend, and you can see his home and other fab four haunts on a guided tour of the Beatles' London. Tour leader Richard Porter, who has twice been declared the Beatle Brain of Britain, has no less than three different walks to choose from!
You can check the choice of Beatles London walks on Richard's Beatles in London website, and they're called In My Life, Magical Mystery Tour and a Die-Hard's Beatles Tour (for people who have done the first two but still want more!) Among the places Richard takes Beatlemaniacs to visit is Paul McCartney's office, where he still works from and where fans have been lucky enough to meet him going in and out – check out the pix on Richard's website. Other famous fab four London locations include:
- The rooftop where the Beatles filmed the 'Get Back' concert
- Abbey Road Studios
- The house Paul McCartney and Jane Asher lived in
- The registry office where Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr both got married
- The former Apple shop
- Film locations from Help and A Hard Day's Night
But as well as the Beatles, Richard Porter also leads London rock walks that feature the Rolling Stones, the Who, Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart, The Kinks, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Oasis and many more.
