Ryanair today announced an online gambling partnership with jackpot.joy, the UK's biggest online bingo operator. Over 80 games can be played on the Ryanair website

Ryanair, who are Europe's largest low fares airline, today announced an online gambling partnership with the UK's biggest online bingo operator, jackpotjoy.com. It doesn't mean you'll be playing bingo as you fly from Shannon to Lodz in Poland (one of their new routes announced recently), but you can play bingo and over 80 other instant win games on the Ryanair website.

Online gambling has been much in the news lately, with the USA banning such websites but Britain accepting them, subject to controls. Ryanair, never backward at coming forward, have signed a deal with jackpotjoy.com that will see people tempted not just by flights costing sometimes as little as a penny, but also the prospect of weekly jackpots in excess of £200,000.

If you act quickly, you might even win a free flight. For the first seven days, Ryanair is offering a free flight to anyone opening an account with them, subject to flight availability and not including taxes and any surcharges.

Michael O'Leary, Ryanair's CEO, said: 'Finding a cheap flight is a racing certainty and now our passengers will have the chance to enjoy a flutter on Ryanair Bingo and instant win with just some of the money they have saved. We are delighted to have agreed this new deal with jackpotjoy.com and expect it to assist us in offering the lowest fares of any airline in Europe by some margin.'

Whatever your views on online gambling, you can't deny Ryanair's flare for publicity. One thing you can always bet on is Michael O'Leary continuing to grab the headlines!
